Here on this website I talk a lot about hot sleepers, but for this review I’m talking about a different kind of sleeper.
That’s right cold sleepers, I’m talking to you.
The Casper flannel sheet set is going to be a great option for people who get cold really quickly or to use during those cold winter months.

Construction
Unlike the flannels you’ll find on lumberjacks or the crowds at a Pearl Jam concert, let’s talk about the construction for these sheets.
These flannel shapes are made from 100% organic cotton and that cotton is brushed to give them a much softer and cozier feel.
These are a quite hefty set of sheets. The top sheet is pretty thick, so it’s going to keep you warm and that fitted sheet has very deep pockets and it’s definitely going to stay put. It can fit mattresses up to 18 inches tall.
That is one of the tallest fitted sheets I’ve ever seen.
Now let’s talk about thread count really quickly. I’ve said it before, it is not an indicator of a quality set of sheets. With flannels sometimes they’re even measured, so they don’t even use a thread count.
The Casper flannel sheets do have a thread count though and it’s 248.
For this review I received the queen size set and it comes with a fitted sheet, a top sheet and two pillowcases.
Casper sells these sheets in a variety of different sizes and they have five different colors for you to pick from.
My Experience
So how did I like using these sheets.
Truth be told, I’m not the biggest fan of crisp cotton feeling sheets. I prefer the more silky bamboo sheets.
But since these are made a different way than traditional cotton sheets, I liked them a bit more.
Flannels are made with brushed materials and this is a thicker top sheet so I’d like using it by itself in colder months.
However nice these sheets feel in the winter and some colder spring months, I cannot see myself using these in the summer time. They’re just too thick and I’m already a hot sleeper. I don’t think it’s going to be the best if you’re like me for year-round use.
I have a taller bed so I really love these deep pockets on the fitted sheet. I also tend to toss and turn at night, so every morning I don’t have to readjust the fitted sheet.
I you really want a seal of approval on these sheets, I found my cat in the laundry basket with these sheets by herself and what better approval could you want than that.

Cleaning & Care
Here’s how Casper recommends you wash the flannel sheet set.
To start, you wash with cold water on a gentle cycle with like colors, and if you have the white set, use non-chlorine bleach when necessary.
To dry, just tumble dry them on low and remove them promptly for best results. And if needed you can even warm iron them.

Moving on to my cons.
I would not recommend these sheets for hot sleepers because they’re just not ideal for year-round use for you guys.
They also aren’t the best option if you prefer silky fabrics like bamboo in your sheets.
And finally they could be a bit pricey for some. But they are a very durable set of sheets and of course you can always save money with a coupon.
