There’s one name in the world of memory foam that I think almost everyone knows. It’s TEMPUR-Pedic.
Here I’m going to be reviewing their most popular pillow, the TEMPUR-Cloud.
Does this pillow actually feel like sleeping on a cloud? I hope not since clouds are actually just water vapor?
In this article I’m going to go over its construction, it’s feel, how it’s going to work for different sleeping positions and I will give you some of my honest pros and cons.

Let’s kick this review off with an overview of TEMPUR-Pedic’s policies.
TEMPUR-Pedic offers free shipping within the contiguous United States. Customers in Hawaii and Slaska will have to pay an additional shipping fee.
Next TEMPUR-Pedic does not offer a trial on this pillow as many other brands do. If you want to return the pillow it has to either be damaged or defective.
Finally TEMPUR-Pedic offers a 5-year warranty on this pillow, which is a pretty lengthy warranty for a pillow.
This pillow currently costs $89, but keep in mind that prices do change often not to mention seasonal sales.
Head over to their website for the most up-to-date pricing information.
First let’s take a look at the cover of the TEMPUR-Cloud. This cover is made from a hundred percent polyester knit fabric and it’s got this quilted pattern on it, which makes it a little extra cushy. This cover is removable and machine washable as well as hypoallergenic.
If we unzip this cover, we can see the core of the pillow. This core is made of TEMPUR-Pedic’s proprietary temper material, which is a molded polyurethane foam. It’s covered in polyester netting.
This pillow is available in one standard size and its loft or height is 5 inches.
And that’s about it. This pillow is pretty simple in its materials, but simple does not mean lesser.
Let’s take a look at how these straightforward materials make this pillow feel.
So what does the TEMPUR-Cloud feel like?
I took this pillow home to test it out for a few nights so I could give you all a great idea of what it feels like.
But keep in mind that feel is subjective so you might have a slightly different experience than me.
When I first laid down on this pillow immediately I noticed it has that classic TEMPUR-Pedic feel. If you’ve ever laid on a TEMPUR-Pedic mattress then i think you know what i’m talking about.
It’s got that super soft slow conforming feel around you and after just a few minutes of laying on this pillow I felt that the foam had truly adapted around my head and neck.
Overall I would say that the TEMPUR-Cloud has a medium firmness.
It’s got that really soft foam that you can really sink into but at the same time it’s quite sturdy and durable and it really keeps your head and neck properly elevated-
I’ll add here that I didn’t notice this pillow overheating too much while I was sleeping on it, but this type of ultra conforming memory foam adapts around you as it warms up from your body heat so it naturally traps heat.
If you’re a hot sleeper this may not be the best pick for you.
Let’s take what we’ve discussed thus far and apply it to how this pillow is going to work for different sleeping positions.
Depending whether you sleep on your side, back or stomach, you’re gonna have different needs from your pillow in addition to your personal preferences.
First let’s take a look at back sleepers.
I am a back sleeper myself and generally we want to find a pillow that has a medium firmness and a medium loft. After testing this pillow out, I can say that i found it super cozy for back sleeping.
My head sunk right into the pillow but stayed supported and I didn’t feel my neck craning at all.
Now onto side sleepers. They generally want a pillow with a higher loft and a firmer feel to ensure that their heads and necks stay in line with their spines.
The timber cloud has more of a medium loft and firmness but I did find it to be pretty comfortable for side sleeping. However I generally prefer a more medium loft for side sleeping personally. If you have a larger frame than I do, the TEMPUR-Cloud might not be tall enough for you.
Finally stomach sleepers. Generally stomach sleepers want to go for a pillow with a low loft and a softer feel to ensure that their neck doesn’t crane. While the TEMPUR-Cloud has a medium loft and a medium firmness, I was actually surprised it worked pretty well for stomach sleeping.
The foam is so much softer than other memory foams and it really compresses as you lie on it. The loft ends up being lower once you’re actually lying on the pillow.
It may still be a bit too high for some stomach sleepers but it works fairly well, especially for combo sleepers who switch between their stomach and their back or their side.
We have covered a lot of information about the TEMPUR-Cloud, so let’s go over my pros and cons, starting off with the pros.
My first pro for this pillow is that I love the feel of it.
I think TEMPUR-Pedic’s temper material foam has a really unique feel compared to a lot of other foams that I’ve tried.
It’s really slow moving and you just really sink so deeply into it and it just contours around your head super cozily. I love the feel of this foam.
Honestly when you compare it to other types of foam, you can really see the difference when you push in with how slow moving it is.
Second I like that this pillow is pretty versatile for different sleeping positions. I thought it was by far the best for back sleepers, but it can also really work for side or stomach sleepers, depending on your personal preferences and your body size.
Third and finally I love that this pillow has a removable machine washable cover as that just helps you to keep it super clean.
My first con for this pillow would be I don’t think it’s the best choice for hot sleepers. As I said before, this type of foam uses your body heat to conform around you, so it’s really probably going to trap quite a bit of heat.
Second this pillow is only available in one size, which is the standard size, so if you want a king size or some other size of pillow, might not be the best option for you.
Third and finally TEMPUR-Pedic advertises this pillow as ultra soft but I thought it really had more of a medium feel so if you’re looking for something with that ultra soft feel this might not be the best pick for you.
